This policy covers all Cryptic Studios content including premium games, message boards, and any other form of expression on the Cryptic Studios web site and in its games.
General Policy
All members of the Cryptic Studios community must respect the rights of others. To protect the safety of our customers and maintain an enjoyable experience on Cryptic Studios’ web site, the Cryptic Studios' team may take action as prescribed in this document.
Upon creating a Cryptic Studios account the member must agree to the Cryptic Studios Terms of Service. Failure to abide by any of these terms can result in the suspension or banning of an account.
The member is liable for all activities conducted through their Cryptic Studios account. Parents or guardians are liable for the activities of their child.
1. Cryptic Studios will not tolerate the following activities on any online service that it operates:
1.1. Causing distress to another member, including but not limited to harassment, threats, fraud, unwanted attention, and unwanted contact via chat or message boards.
1.2. Abusive, defamatory, threatening, or offensive language or behavior.
1.3. Bigoted, hateful, or offensive statements against any religion, race, nation, gender, age group, or sexual orientation.
1.4. Participation in antisocial, disruptive, or destructive behavior. This includes but is not limited to, "flaming", "spamming", and "trolling". "Flaming" is defined as: Posting content that is deliberately hostile. "Spamming" is defined as: Repeatedly posting unwanted content. "Trolling" is defined as: Posting content that is deliberately intended to provoke a vehement response from other users.
1.5. Impersonation of others, including, but not limited to, agents of Cryptic Studios or other Cryptic Studios community members.
1.6. Posting personally identifiable information of another user, including but not limited to their real name, address, phone number, or private email address.
1.7. Posting or transmission of sexually explicit, obscene, vulgar, or otherwise offensive images.
1.8. Posting or transmission of unauthorized advertisements or promotions.
1.9. Offering or solicitation of copyrighted content that you do not own all rights to without the express written permission of the author or copyright holder.
1.10. Offering or solicitation of material that might be deemed illegal, indecent, or obscene.
1.11. Solicitation of other members' passwords and/or credit card information.
1.12. Posting or transmission of any destructive software, including but not limited to viruses, Trojans, or worm files.
1.13. Participation in or discussion of violating any local, state, national, or international laws or regulations.
2. For all offenses the following action may be taken:
2.1. An email warning may be issued to the member at the discretion of Cryptic Studios.
2.2. Editing, deletion or closing of the post, thread or message.
2.3. The closing of the member's Cryptic Studios account.
2.4. Temporary suspension the member's Cryptic Studios account.
2.5. Permanent banning the member's Cryptic Studios account. User will no longer be able to log into their account.
2.6. Permanent banning of the member from all accounts and future accounts. At the discretion of Cryptic Studios, a member may be permanently removed from the use of Cryptic Studios offered games, including any and all future accounts held by that member. In the event that this decision is made, Cryptic Studios will contact the member.
3. The following can result in the notification of proper legal authorities by a representative of Cryptic Studios:
3.1. Threat of physical harm to oneself or any other person made through the Cryptic Studios web site.
3.2. Offering or solicitation of material that might be deemed illegal, indecent, or obscene. This includes but is not limited to, child pornography, illegal drugs and pirated software.
3.3. Harassment of a Cryptic Studios employee or contractor.
