Farewell to a Beloved Villain

Ricardo Montalban, beloved villain of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, passed away this morning at the age of 88.  The Mexican born actor first came to Hollywood in the early 1940s and continued working until his death.  He is best known for his role as Mr. Roarke in Fantasy Island, but we remember him for his portrayal of the genetically enhanced Khan Noonien Singh, first introduced in the original Star Trek series in 1967.  He is one of only two Star Trek alumni to receive a Life Achievement Award from the Screen Actors Guild, confirming our opinion that he was, indeed, a superior being.
